“The Good Life” | Robert Waldinger | TEDxBeaconStreet | Published: November 30, 2015
The YouTube video titled “The Good Life” is an inspiring talk from Bob Waldinger who is the current director of the oldest longitudinal study ever undertaken (75 years). The study began when the cohort was 19 years old and has continued into their nineties.
Bob Waldinger summarizes the lessons learned from the study . The results are congruent with the Minnesota longitudinal study “The Development of the Person” published in 2005 by Alan Sroufe. His study tracks a cohort from infancy to 37 years old.
Both studies resoundingly illustrate the centrality of good relationships for physical well being and emotional happiness.
It is a short presentation packed with wisdom and humor. Enjoy!
