In August the APA (American Psychological Association) – the big boss-man of the mental health field, published a trans-theoretical manifesto about psychotherapy. Titled the “Resolution on the Recognition of Psychotherapy Effectiveness” it reads like a head-spinning IRS document…I don’t recommend it for good-times reading. I am, however, providing the link as the hypothesis of this well-researched and well-referenced piece is relevant: that therapy works.
