My work is devoted to optimal well-being. I am trained in a variety of effective mental health modalities. I’ve studied the most effective techniques to help people create happier, healthier lives. Whether you are looking for treatment for yourself, your family or for both you and your partner – I can help you set goals to improve your life and work with you on achieving them.

Everyone can do it! We can make the most of our genetics and circumstances to live “this one wild and precious life” in balance and joy. It’s all about learning tools and training your brain toward joy.

I use Insight Therapy, Mindfullness Training and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you achieve your goals. Are you feeling stuck or just fine tuning? Either way get the skills and strategies you need to move forward.

Here are some of my specialty areas:

  • Mood — you don’t have to stay stuck in anxiety and depression. Change your emotional set point.
  • Relationships — break through the blocks to intimacy and create loving, healthy relationships.
  • Food and other addictions — turn off the drive to use food and other substances and help your body move back to its genetic comfort zone.
  • Purpose and intentional living — go from wafting and waffling to alignment with your purpose, spiritual connection, and self.

Some of the tools and techniques I use:

  • Insight Therapy – When you really see that now, in your current life, you actually have fresh, believable possibilities for action, the old painful dilemmas naturally melt away.
  • Mindfulness Training — Mindfulness practice is like finding a rope hanging over a whirlpool: it is a way to pull yourself out of the painful cycles of anxiety and depression.
  • Somatic (Body-centered) Psychotherapy — With help from the principals of Somatic Experiencing, we can access our innate capacity to rebound from trauma.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy – Negative thoughts — self-judgment, self-criticism, resentment — grow anxiety and depression as if they were fertilizer.
  • Video-Based Therapy – Augment face-to-case therapy sessions with an HD-quality, HIPPA-compliant e-therapy and teletherapy.

Success in therapy is largely due to the connection or the interpersonal fit between therapist and client; I hope that the information I provide on this site will help you decide if working with me would be right for you.

My professional services are generally reimbursable through most insurance carriers. My fees are usually considered to be within the acceptable range for reimbursement.
